The Building Beyond 125 renovation at Clifton is moving forward and we are overjoyed. Let’s be praying for one another as we navigate this season of disruption together and anticipate the blessing of an improved ministry space soon! In addition to proactive announcements to the church regarding any schedule changes, we will post our most up-to-date meeting plans on this page throughout the renovation, so check back at any time.
Nursery
The contractor has agreed to keep our nursery space available during as much of the renovation as possible. We will be sure to update you when this availability changes. In light of our need to pause kids ministry, we are expanding our Wednesday evening nursery offering to include our pre-K and Kindergarten classes. Our current nursery schedule:
- Sunday School (9:30-10:30am): Paused during renovation
- Sunday Morning Corporate Worship (10:45am-12:15pm): 0-3 year olds
- Wednesday Evening (6:30-7:30pm): 0-3 year olds, pre-K, and Kindergarten classes
Youth Ministry
All youth Sunday Schools are paused during the renovation. On Wednesday evenings, the High School and Junior High Ministries will be meeting on the campus of Southern Seminary from 6:15pm-8:00pm. This time frame will give the youth valuable time together and also allows parents to attend the prayer meeting at the Clifton building nearby. Students will enter and exit through the Duke K. McCall Pavilion. Upon arrival, students will walk through the breezeway to Norton Hall rooms 208 & 209. Chaperones and directional signs will be present to help students find their way. Students who drive themselves can park in the adjacent lot between the Pavilion and the Legacy Hotel. For a map of the SBTS campus go here. Our current youth schedule:
- Sunday School (9:30-10:30am): Paused during renovation
- Wednesday Evening (6:15pm-8:00pm): Meeting at Southern Seminary in Norton Hall rooms 208 & 209
Kids Ministry
Due to space constraints, we have paused all of our Kids Ministry classes for the duration of the renovation. The exception to this is that we will offer a pre-K and Kindergarten class in the nursery on Wednesday evenings during the prayer meeting. Our current Kids Ministry schedule:
- Sunday School (9:30-10:30am): Paused during renovation
- Wednesday Evening (6:30-7:30pm): Pre-K and Kindergarten classes will meet in the nursery space. In addition, we invite kids in 1st-5th grade to join us with their families in our prayer meeting in the auditorium! While this meeting will typically follow our regular Wednesday evening plan (singing, teaching, prayer), we will also mix in some special kid-focused evenings and provide additional equipping to parents for discipling your kids during this time.
Adults
All adult Sunday School classes are paused during the renovation. We will gather weekly for corporate worship on Sunday mornings at 10:45am. We regret that we will not be able to provide a nursing mom’s room or a wiggle room during the renovation. We also plan to hold our regular Wednesday evening prayer meeting for adults in our auditorium from 6:30-7:30pm throughout the spring. Our current adult schedule:
- Sunday School (9:30-10:30am): Paused during renovation
- Sunday Morning Corporate Worship (10:45am-12:15pm): No nursing mom’s room or wiggle room available.
- Wednesday Evening (6:30-7:30pm): Prayer meeting
Additional Note for Families
Families, please note that over the next several months the majority of our church building, including some outside spaces, will be a construction zone. While we will go out of our way to communicate clearly and mark off areas that are off limits, parents will need to be extra vigilant to keep an eye on their children and keep them out of any construction areas.
