Children's Ministries

One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.

Psalm 145:4

Our mission is to glorify God by...
Proclaiming the whole counsel of Scripture to children with special emphasis on the gospel (Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Romans 1:16-17).
Praying for the children and relying on the Holy Spirit to regenerate their hearts through the faithful teaching of his Word
(Romans 10:17; Ephesians 2:4-10).
Living faithfully before the children and modeling for them how Christians are called to respond to God, love one another, and minister to the world around us (Matthew 5:16; 1 Corinthians 11:1).
Supporting and encouraging parents who are primarily responsible for teaching biblical truths to their children (Ephesians 6:4).
Understanding the care of children is not a right, but a privilege; and this privilege embodies responsibilities to God for ministering to and caring for the children.

Nursery Ministry

Infant - 3 years old
The nursery ministry at Clifton Baptist Church is committed to serving both children and parents in love.  It is a joy to come alongside parents, nurturing the faith of their children, prayerfully interceding for the next generation, and teaching biblical truths. We desire to free parents to engage in corporate worship and practically hear the Word in an undistracted way.  Additionally, we want Clifton Baptist parents to feel inspired, well-equipped, encouraged, and supported as they raise their children in the faith.

Our nursery consists of a centralized check-in area, a sleeping area, a nursing mother’s area, and developmentally appropriate rooms for children ages birth through three years.

Our vision and goal in the nursery is not only to serve parents by providing safe, quality childcare, but also to create an atmosphere where the greatness of God and the glory of Jesus Christ are made known even to the smallest baby.

Kids Ministry

PreK - 5th Grade
We consider it a tremendous privilege and responsibility to teach the next generation about the ways of our great God.  We pray that our children will repent of their sin and place their faith in Christ and grow to become men and women who find their greatest joy in obeying and serving the Lord all of their days.

We believe that the church has a significant role to play in the lives of children, but we recognize that God has entrusted parents with the primary responsibility of shepherding their children.  Therefore, our ministry to children is not isolated from our ministry to their parents.  Instead, we seek to come alongside parents and to reinforce the instruction and discipline we trust they are providing at home.

We seek to teach children the basic storyline of the Bible and how all of the Bible points to Jesus.  We do this primarily during Sunday school and Kingom Kids, which meets on Wednesday evenings.  We also facilitate Scripture memory and the study of a children’s catechism.

Youth Ministry

6th - 12th Grades
Clifton’s Youth Ministry exists to support parents in their efforts to make disciples of their children. We long for every student to treasure Jesus Christ, understand God’s word, and grow in godliness. In our efforts to help this happen we want to supplement and encourage godly training in the home, not replace it.

Sunday School classes for middle and high school students happen each Sunday morning at 9:30am on the fourth floor. Emphasis is placed on teaching though books of the Bible in both the Old and New Testament.

Youth Group is for students from 6th – 12th grades and meets at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings. A variety of topics are covered with the goal of giving students the whole counsel of God and equipping them to walk faithfully with the Lord.
