A Letter to Potential Donors

Thank you for your interest in supporting the gospel efforts of Clifton Baptist Church.

Please note: IRS regulations state that a donation is not tax-deductible if the donor designates it for the benefit of a particular individual.  Therefore, while you may request that Clifton give consideration to awarding aid to a specific individual who plans to participate in an upcoming mission trip, it is understood that this is merely your expressed desire.  You may, however, designate your donation for a particular mission trip, with the understanding that Clifton is in full control of the gift and can distribute the funds according to our guidelines.  In other words, you will be supporting the mission trip and allowing the church to distribute the funds to individuals who will be part of this trip according to its established guidelines. Additionally, it is understood that you will receive no goods or services in exchange for this gift.
