Staff

	Tom Schreiner, Preaching Pastor / Staff Elder Tom has been preaching at Clifton Baptist Church since August, 2001. He formerly served as preaching pastor at Trinity Baptist Church of Louisville. When the two churches, Clifton and Trinity merged their congregations together, Tom was called to serve as the preaching pastor. Tom also serves as a professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. He has authored several books including a commentary on the book of Romans.  Tom and his wife, Diane, have four children.
	Chip Stam, Minister of Music Chip has been serving as the Minister of Music at Clifton Baptist Church since March of 2002. Chip is married to Doris, who is also an asset to the music ministry.  He is a professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, in the School of Church Music and Worship where he also serves as the conductor of the Oratorio Chorus and the director of the Institute for Christian Worship. 	Bill Schakat, Youth Pastor Bill has been serving as Minister of Students at Clifton Baptist Church since September of 2006.  Previously he served in this capacity in Blairsville, GA for over eight years.  He is currently pursing his M. Div. at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is married to Beth and they have two children, Will and Emmi.
	Colleen ("Coco") Briggs, Nursery Director CoCo has been serving as the nursery director at Clifton Baptist Church since Fall, 2004.  She is a nurse by training and has been very involved in the ministries of Clifton Baptist Church.  Coco and her husband Bob have five children.
	Ryan Townsend,  Administrative Pastor and Children's Ministry Director Ryan has been serving as the Administrator and Children's Ministry Director since August of 2006.  He is currently pursing his M.Div. at SBTS.  While originally from Houston, TX, Ryan lived in Washington DC prior to moving to Louisville. In DC, he attended Georgetown University, worked as a consultant for Accenture, and served on staff at Capitol Hill Baptist Church.  Additionally, he is the 'evangelism' writer for the 9Marks newsletter.  He is married to Tara Beth and is father to Bethan, Kyla, and Luke.
	Kevin Morse, Custodian Kevin has served as custodian since 2007. He is currently pursing his M.Div. at SBTS, is married to Sarah, and has one daughter- Ruth.
	Barrett Craig, Pastoral Assistant Barrett Craig serves as our Pastoral Assistant. He recently graduated from SBTS with at Master of Divinity in Bible and Theology and is currently pursuing his ThM in Biblical Counseling. He plans on entering into the Navy next year as an full-time active duty chaplain. He is married to his lovely wife, Colleen.
	Shawn Wright, Associate Pastor of Pastoral Mentoring Shawn has been a member of Clifton Baptist since August 2001. Shawn has a long history of local church ministry. Shawn, along with Gretchen, his wife, was one of the founding members Trinity Baptist Church. Shawn has a passion for local church ministry and is able to bring that passion to bear here at Clifton. Shawn also serves as a professor of Church History at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Shawn and Gretchen have five boys.
	Jeremy Pierre, Associate Pastor of Member Care Jeremy is currently in the Ph.D. program at SBTS and is a professor at Boyce Bible College. He is married to Sarah and has two children- Alessandra and Ronald.
	John Kimbell, Senior Associate Pastor John serves as our full-time pastor of preaching and discipleship. He brings a passion and a love for God and his Word. He recently received his Ph.D. from SBTS in New Testament studies. He is married to Sarah and has four children ­ Anna, Rachel, Trevor, and Ryan.

Non-Staff Elders

Bruce Ware, Elder
Bruce, along with his wife Jodi, has been a member of Clifton Baptist since August 2001. Bruce currently teaches one of the main adult Sunday School classes offered at Clifton. Bruce's passion is to see the Church grow strong through the application of right theology. To that end, Bruce has written or edited numerous books on various areas of theology. Bruce has written numerous articles on books recently dealing with the effects of Open Theism.  Bruce also serves as a professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Bruce and Jodi have two girls.

Jon Bloom, Elder
Jon is currently attending SBTS and works as an engineer for Veteran Affairs. He is married to Kathy and has four children- Beth, Kara, Chrissy, and David.

Lee Sexton, Elder
Lee is the director of the health and recreation center at SBTS. He is married to Margaret and has five children- Christina, Matthew, Joshua, Daniel, and the fifth one is on the way.
